~•{ US farms & farm workers 1910-2000 }•~


The line graph shows the United States number of farms and workers from 1910 to 2000.

The biggest change was the dramatic drop in US farm workers. The workers kept the same rate for the first 10 years and it was 13.5 millions. Also the farms kept from 1910 to 1915 at 6.4 millions, but from 1915 to 1920 grew to 6.5 millions. The number of workers fell from 13.5 to 12.5 in around 1 decade. However, the farms stayed at 6.5 for around 1 decade. In the next 5 years the rate increased from 12.5 to 13 million for the workers and from 6.5 to 7 million for farms. The workers declined from 13 to 3 millions in 2000, while the farms decreased from 7 to 2.1 millions in 55 years.

In summary, the workers and farms in the United States had a big fall over 9 decades from 13 to 3 million for workers.
